This pod was a hell of conversation. I enjoy Avi’s conviction, I’m similar in a sense and I do think it’s a more “European” upbringing related thing. Having strong opinions and sharing them with conviction is not the norm and that’s why it’s a standout thing for me”founders”. It’s interesting how the world perceives conviction from men versus women. Lastly it’s so refreshing to have dialogue around true consumer AI. Everyone is running towards the black box of “productivity” and it’s deeply problematic for the AI space. More art, more connection, more the art of the startup, again, I found this refreshing and very much relate to this thinking versus the entire venture industry.
Glad it resonated, and I've felt consumer AI is so vaguely discussed. This chat and POV somewhat polarizing I think, some people will find it refreshing and others a too intense. Curious about your point on perception of conviction from men vs women (have no doubt there's some difference).
I'd also venture to guess that most truly new consumer social / hardware use cases will resonate more with gen alpha and younger. Robot friends are coming too surely...
Sort of disagree, that wearable AI shouldn't be utilitarian, wouldn't an omni-present ai ( glasses , watch or even a ring or braclet) make it more comfortable for the masses to try it?
My interpretation is that there will be plenty of utilitarian options - there already are - I think glasses or watches are probably fine for that use case and will see big incumbents go that direction

I have a hunch that, like tamagotchi, this is more likely to catch on with kids than adults, but I'm curious to see how you find it.
You know what would be really cool, though, instead of this? Robot friends. I'd 100 percent get one of those.

I want one with the sass of R2D2 and the communication abilities of C3PO.
Love the audio format!
oh no … does this mean I’m an earcaster??
Some say "voice is the oldest medium..."
forever in my memory
